Comments:
An afternoon sunset session of windswell at the pit's beachbreak. Dealing with the Lexus's in the parking lot was tough, but seeing how small it looked was tougher. The waves, when they came, looked do-able but breaking so close in it looked like some kids might get taken out by some fins. I decided I had to get out anyway and was glad I did. No waders were hurt in the process.

As is typical here, it was a random mix of waves. Sometimes catching some knee-high rights into the sand and occaisonaly getting perhaps a waist high left and avoiding children and their frightened parents. The water is getting so warm that hopefully soon the torn up full suit will see it's permenent retirement in favor of the new springy. A lot of pit kids out there tearing it up and I was actually catching a ton of waves and getting a few turns in before they walled out on me.

Going south to catch the south swell may have been a better call but the traffic heading south after the long weekend was already backing up around 2:00. Best to keep it local and low stress. Saw a pod of dolphins playing around out there near one of the bouys, some outrigger canoes, and one of the bigger sailboats in the harbor rounding the "K" mark.

Afterwards it was to Vons for 10 ears of corn for $2.00 and a Memorial Day BBQ.
