November2003 Overview
The Reports
November. The month of cool, clear, offshore days and NW swells. Well, not in 2003. We ended up with what I will declare my worst November for surf that I can remember. Of course, I can't remember very far back, but I do know the last 2-3 years were better. We did have some swell around the middle of the month, but it was tricky to find where it was good and where the wind wasn't ruining it. I ended up at Rincon on the 17th, catching the tail end of a swell that lit up points south but not in town. After that it was pretty pathetic, filled with many mornings of staring at the lake before us and getting coffee.

Traditional Thanksgiving session with Unkle was one such example. The am tide was working with us, as was the offshore wind, the crisp and clear weather...but not the waves. So bad we didn't even make it out on Turkey day. The one redeeming day was Nov 30, where a pure west swell gave us a nice direct hit, lighting up the once dormant point breaks in the Northern regions.

Only 8 November Sessions. 5 on the longboard. 3 on the shortboard. Surfline's NovemberReport isn't up as of posting, but will be in about 3 weeks.
