Comments:
Writing this report almost two weeks later and after battling the flu, it's due to be short and incorrect. Headed out to hang out with the pier rats in Pismo. The swell was mostly from the NW so the south side was working better but with a tight take off spot so I headed north and took my chances with a lot of closeouts and an occiasional left and a right. Only me and a few others, who for some reason were always inside and in the way.
Some fun rights would come thru that you could take until you chickened out and didn't want to hit a piling. The lefts were good, but fast and tough to make. After an hour the light breeze turned into a rip roaring onshore that made localized whitecaps instantly. About that time it also got extremely crowded, with litle groms sitting on top of me. I headed in.
