Comments:

Took a lunchtime look in north goleta. Some gate is still up in my favorite little parking zone, had to hoof it into some ways to find no waves. Back at work a co-worker driving up along the PCH said Malibu was off the hizzy, and Rincon was firin' too. Headed out in the afternoon to get some of that. Took a stop down in the southern Santa Barbara area and there was no waves and a lot of wind. Kept going and checked out the indicator. It looked blown out but perhaps rideable. Funny thing was, just up the beach at Bates it was offshore and pitching out, but not makeable.

My first session since being sick and I was wheezing and coughing and hocking up some good stuff. Probably only caught half a dozen waves and felt like a kook out there after 2 weeks out of the water. Waves were coming from every which way as was spray. Caught a few fun lefts and a few fun rights. Every now and then a bomb would come in outside that was 50% bigger then anything else. A few times a hooded guy would get it, but otherwise they went unridden.
