Comments:
Conditions today were a lot more typical of an SB afternoon. The onshore winds had returned (turning the fires into the hills and causing more havoc), the marine layer was bit more thick, and the water at sands was filled with brown gunk. Rode the bike down again and it looked bad, but I headed out for a quick dip anyway. About a dozen guys out there, in shallow water looking for a good ride.
I caught a bunch of inside waves, thigh high at most. Smallest waves I've ridden on the Roberts and it did ok, but I miss having some power to turn. Towards the end I caught a few sets waves, waist high at best. Waves crumbled a lot more today, were not holding up much and often unrideable. Mellow crowd out there again, all shortboarders scratching for something to ride.
