Writing this September wrap-up after tasting our little miniture first swell of the fall/winter, it's tough to write nice things about my September Sessions. While the East coast was on fire with Hurricanes Fabian and Isabell, our coast was bone dry in the Hurricane department, and the south swells only stoked us out once. Besides that one you had to mess around in localized windswell like I was doing early in the month in Carp.
In general the best waves was around September 11-13 when a swell from way down south made it all way up into parts of Goleta and good waves could be had. After that it was some dismal surf down there, and some fun waves up in Pismo.
Only 6 September Sessions. All but one on the Longboard. An entirely weak surf month for Pope and the SB area in general unless you were on the sneaker south swell around September 11th. Surfline's Septmeber Report isn't up as of posting, but will be in about 3 weeks.
