A rare Monday morning dawn patrol. Sands with IanI and just a couple of others out there. This was the tail end of the Thanksgiving weekend swell that brought us waves that had a bit too much wind and chop on them to call it a great swell. Today the wind and chop was gone though, we had clean conditions although smaller, much preferred in my opinion.

IanI brought two boards like a pro, his new RocketFish and his new shortboard. He started with the shortboad which worked well until things started to slow down a lot with the incoming tide, then he switched to RocketFish and caught a lot of waves. I surfed the 6'3" and it worked well considering it had been collecting dust for over a week. Sets were fast and fun, a lot of closeouts though but that also meant chances for cover ups. Caught a lot of fun waves and had a great session. So did IanI. Kid with the Red Trimmed Rip Curl was out there just killing it. Saw an amazing aerial type thing that I can't explain, he was just getting loose on that thing. I was actually trying to give him waves to see what he would come up with. However he actually told me to go on one he clearly had priority on, I went and it was my best wave of the session. That kid is a good addition to any lineup.
