Waves were flat today (one day swell, sucks) and I haven't had a hit since Tuesday. Decided to try driving the back roads with my 2000 switched on. Almost like surfing, a little scary when a banked section starts to throw out, I think I'd totally trip if I got into an asphalt barrel. Decided to switch it off after a wipe out put me in a ditch.Saw Zip at Ano. He thought the eco-terrorists were behind it. That sounded paranoid to me. Zip's heavy into Th32, "thrust" as the spongeheads call it. I don't care for it too much, but I'll always take a patch if offered. Zip's just your typical spongehead, light build, green bizz cut, gull's off his sponge but never eats what he hunts. Anyway Th32 is the dope these days with the spongers. I hear them goin on about great 'poon rides on thrust. You know how the spongers will 'poon a harbour seal or the occasional porpoise and ride the thing till it dies of exhaustion. I guess you can get a longer ride on Th32 cuz it'll raise the O2 in your blood so when the beast dives you can ride under for longer. But it also makes you paranoid like shit and you'll get this huge rush off the fear and adrenaline and Th32 all mixed in. So anyway, I figure Zip is just being paranoid and it's just a shark, don't see any need for a big conspiracy or anything.
Fog came in early. Maybe some junky windswell tomorrow, make me wish for a longboard.
